Education

Major: Public Communication
Minor: Spanish Language
Focus: Public relations
GPA: 3.87

This May I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Public Communications. It is this major that originally drew me to the University of Vermont. Over the course of four years I have taken traditional communication courses such as marketing, economics, strategic writing and communication theory. However, I have also had the opportunity to partake in many nontraditional, but crucial courses such as Socially Responsible Marketing, Ecological Economics, Visual communication, and most recently my Senior Capstone class. By embedding real-world projects into courses, I have had the opportunity to acquire necessary skills to succeed in an ever evolving profession.

*I was recently awarded the Scholastic Recognition Award from the Department of Community Development and Applied Economics at UVM. The award is given to those holding a GPA in the top 10% of the graduating class.

Last Spring I had the opportunity to study International Marketing abroad at the Universidad de Pablo Olavide, in Seville, Spain. While abroad I completed my Spanish Language Minor and took courses relating to international business, communication and global marketing strategy.
