More about me!

My lovely Spanish host family! I spent last spring studying International Marketing and Spanish in Seville, Spain. The experience opened up my eyes to so many new ways of seeing life and the world. It also fed my insatiable hunger for travel.

My favorite travel location....so far. After exploring Spain, Italy, Prague, France and Morrocco, Sintra, Portugal is the place that stole my heart. Whether it was the delicious pastries on every corner, the ancient castles and beautiful gardens or just the warm Sintra residents, this small city, 1000s of miles away, felt like home.

I grew up playing soccer, and although I do not play for my University's team, last winter I discovered a way to combine my love of the sport with my love of travel. As part of a sustainable development course offered through UVM, I worked with a group of students to develop a sustainable development program and then travel to St. Lucia to carry out the project. We found partners through the Grassroot Soccer Program, and local schools in St. Lucia. Before we traveled to the island we received training to be official Grassroot Soccer coaches, a program that teaches youth about HIV/AIDs through the game of soccer. The experience was more rewarding then I could have imagined. These are some of the amazing girls at the elementary school in Choiseul, St. Lucia.
I have spent the last four years living in what would be heaven for outdoor enthusiasts. Going to school in Vermont has allowed me to hike, bike, snowboard, and thrive outdoors. With the lake, the mountains, and endless places to explore, I spend as much time as possible outdoors.

When I'm not studying, travelling, or enjoying Vermont's outdoors, I volunteer as a Dog Walker at the local Humane Society.
